2018 Competition Winners.
Members attended our annual Christmas break-up and Presentation Night at Church on Palmer on 13 December. It was a fantastic night; the company and food were great.
Novice Grade.
The Runner-up in the Novice Grade was Darcie Ralph with the overall winner of the Novice Grade being awarded to Sue Mayer-Miller on a total of 125 points.
Intermediate Grade.
Runner-up in the Intermediate Grade was one of the Club’s oldest and wisest of members, John Pickup with a great score of 106.
Winner of the Intermediate Grade with a total score of 114 points was Lynnie Hutchins.
Advanced Grade.
Runner-up for the Advanced Grade was Inge Blessas with 152 points, the winner was awarded to Lenore Hansen with a total score of 153.
Most Improved.
The winner of the 2018 Most Improved was awarded to David Blackburn. David over the course of the year has demonstrated a marked improvement in his photography skills, and his enthusiasm is without a doubt very infectious. Whenever you have a conversation with David about photography, he is so keen to learn and if he doesn’t understand anything he never hesitates to ask. Congratulations David, a well-deserved acknowledgement of your drive, passion and enthusiasm for the art of photography. Keep up the good work.
The Kev McCane Memorial Trophy.
The final trophy of the night to be awarded was the Kev McCane Memorial Photographer of the Year. This trophy goes to the member with the highest number of points gained over the course of the year.
This year there was only 1 point between the top scorers. The winner of the Kev McCane Memorial Photographer of the Year for 2018 – Lenore Hansen with a total score of 153.
