JULY - MACKAY SCOTTISH BLUEWATER FLING
This year’s annual Mackay Scottish Bluewater Fling has been included in the Mackay Festival of Arts and promises to be an entertaining afternoon of Scottish and Celtic music, song and dance. This free, outdoor family-friendly community event celebrates Mackay’s Scottish heritage and showcases local and visiting pipe bands from across Queensland.
Deb Orr from the Mackay & District Pipe Band Inc, would like to invite the members of the Mackay Camera Club to attend this year's Mackay Scottish Bluewater Fling to be their official photographers at the event. They are looking for lots of photos including 'action shots', members of the audience especially those who dressed in tartan and some short videos. Unfortunately this activity does clash with our Cape Hillsborough weekend so we need to have an idea of who would be interested in doing this and let her know as soon as possible. The event is on the 26th of July from 1pm and we would be provided with a run sheet of activities. They have offered to make a donation to the club in return for these photos. Information about the event is in the attachment.
